Can You Take Batteries In Carry On Luggage. Most allow the batteries in carry-on bags but not in checked luggage due to potential fire risk. Make sure you either take the batteries out or tape the items switch in the off position.
If the charger has an electrical cord be sure to wrap it tightly around the charger. One spare battery not exceeding 300 watt hours or two spare batteries not exceeding 160 watt hours each are permitted in carry-on bags. Check the restrictions on certain types of batteries or contact your airline if youre not sure what you can carry.
